“That buzzing noise means something. Now, the only reason for making a buzzing noise that I know of is because you are… a bee! And the only reason for being a bee is to make honey. And the only reason for making honey is so I can eat it.” — Winnie the Pooh

“Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.” — Robert Green Ingersoll

“All lessons of history in four sentences: Who the gods would destroy, they first make mad with power. The mills of God grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly small. The bee fertilizes the flower it robs. When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.” — Charles A. Beard

Explanation to above comment, hope it makes you smile ~ okey-dokey-o

δοκέω (dokeó) ~ HELPS Word-studies (Greek δοκέω ~ Transliteration: dokeó) ~
1380 dokéō – properly, suppose (what “seems to be”), forming an opinion (a personal judgment, estimate).1380 /dokéō (“suppose”) directly reflects the personal perspective (values) of the person making the subjective judgment call, i.e. showing what they esteem (or not) as an individual.[1380 (dokéō) is the root of: 1378 (dógma), 1391 (dóksa), and 2106 (eudokéō). Each cognate stresses “the subjective mental estimate or opinion about a matter”

      p.s. ~ δοκέω dokeó ~ okey-dokey ~ :) (I’m easily cheerfully entertained) 

I’m waiting to see if it “clicks”… sometimes your comments go over my head.

Alice, please accept as true when I say, IT”S NOT your understanding or lack thereof, BUT it is truly the lack of my ability to fully disclose (all at once) the content and process which connect the peculiarities of the workings of what’s going on (in all of the thought processes I receive from my head), and the relaying of them efficiently. I am not as yet, very accomplished at keyboarding (typing with two fingers), and the input of data or information put into my computer using a keyboard is far less than the output of what is seen in my mind’s eye. SO HAVING SAID THAT, HERE GOES —>

Words can be so much fun! 🙂 ~ When I first looked @ this blog post, I was waiting with great anticipation for more words of LIFE, from a greatly anticipated next blog ~ And even though I was expecting part #4 of your current series, “Being led by the Holy Spirit” to be the subject matter at hand, I still found myself to be pleasantly pleased, going down a path being placed before me in the Lord thru this blog Posted: 2nd August 2014. ~ My peculiar train of thoughts the day I read “IMAGE TEST” were as follows ~

    • IMAGE TEST ~ For me it’s a mental image of something expected, often compared to its reality.
~ And upon reading the title to the new found blog I realized you were working hard to put forth a banqueting table for people to feast upon here @ whatgoddoes, so I began to pray for the work of the Lord being done thru you, knowing full well of 1 Corinthians 15:58 which states ~ “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” ~ And thus peace followed knowing ALL is well. ~ Then my next thought was, OK, Hunky-Dory, ~ What Now? ~ And the phrase “okey-dokey” seemed to sum up all my new found expectations and my present train of thought. ~ Once again another thought followed ~ Well there seems to be nothing to comment on at this time. ~ But wait there is MORE ~ I wanted you, Alice to smile 🙂

    • With this last phrase of “okie-dokie-o” (running thru my mind), I was immediately reminded of the Greek word δοκέω (and it meaning), and also noticed thru pictures and images running through my mind, of the faint similarity (visually at least) to the phrase; “okie-dokie-o” and the Greek word and transliteration “δοκέω – dokeó’
Seeing this visual picture in my mind ~ “okie” / δοκέω
    and ~ “dokie” / dokeó’
Thus I began to smile and giggle at the oneness my mind was entering upon.

    • Next your statement ~ “I’m working on the new site and this blog post is for testing purposes”. CAN THIS BE A SPIRITUAL STAEMENT ? ~ YES INDEED ! ~ And indeed for me it was beginning to be a WONDERFUL “Image Test” (spiritually) ~ All of a sudden like a mighty rushing wind ~ more giggles (inner child trying to get out) ~ So WHY the smiles and giggles ? ~
Because we truly all look forward to the NEW sites, in the glorious journey to the return of our Garden of Eden, The Paradise we trust as Heaven, ~ We all wish to see “As God Sees”, and Understand “WHAT GOD DOES” ~ And even though we can create certain dogmas in our seeing “ as thru a glass darkly”, and we may create a certain belief or set of beliefs that our own religions holds to be true, we MUST always attain to that which we truly seek, ~ That being The IMAGE OF GOD, (in our own life) (in our own “IMAGE TEST”) ~ In the REALITY of who we are in HIM ~ And the scriptures declare; ~ “When we see HIM we shall be like Him”, ~ This is the goal of Gods design and purpose in His statement of, “LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE”

    • The related subject matter thus far ~ Image Test ~ my thought “okei-dokie” all is well ~ the δοκέω – dokeó (visual similarity with okey-dokie-o) ~ [1380 (dokéō) the root of: 1378 (dógma) ] ~ dokéō the definition being “suppose”, directly reflecting our personal perspective (or values) and our making the subjective judgment call, ~ (showing us what we esteem, or not) ~ And then noticing the definition of dokeó ,and appropriation to the task @ hand ~ The process of Clearing away misconceptions… possible dogmas (or not) of our own personal Image Testings, ~ Which is What Our God Does, ~ And finally your quote and description, “I’m working on the new site and this blog post is for testing purposes” ~ Which is exactly the task at hand of what God would say ~ This all made me smile with joy 🙂

    • Your Blog once again inspired me, and your Image Test related to my image test, ~ Setting forth the banqueting table before my eyes and the feast upon the realities of what our Lord has done and is doing in the stirrings and developments of His Kingdom that is within each of us unto His perfections. He will indeed make everything beautiful in His Time ~ Better yet it actually states, ~ “ He HAS made everything beautiful in its time.” (Eccl. 3:11)

p.s. ~ I truly see the oneness of your heart with what GOD does and I rejoice in HIM

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to explain all that. I totally get it now. Funny how God speaks to us in unexpected ways…
