You could call him a sci-fi nerd, but I see man who is inspired by all the mind-blowing possibilities of the unknown.

He’s got a different kind of confident strength that may appear as weakness to those who put on a tough act — like the time he talked a guy out of a fight or how deep down, he’ll always be a “momma’s boy.”

He’s already the world’s best Poppop, and he’s just getting started.

I never imagined I would love to hear the song of a man whose voice has a slightly off tune southern twang, but I do.

His sense of humor is a daily delight to those who know him and gives a sense of comfort and ease to those who don’t.

    the song of a man

    “The Song of a Man”
Intoning this “song of a man” you speak , ~ TIM ~ I’m reminded of this passage of scripture in Rev. chapter 5:10 ~ “Thou hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign over the earth!” but to help in seeing (in a slow and solemn way ~ “intoning”), let us also look at vs. 9 ~

( vs.9) And “they” sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; vs.(10) And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

These are not just mere words, but I see much in your phrase ~ “The song of a Man” ~ For God’s meaning of a “song” is a “message; revelation; experience.” ~ And these songs are meant to convey a message! And I see and believe the message of this man you speak of, ~ This song and voice of this particular man you are smitten with ~ is worthy and easy to be listened to. ~ He “sounds” (pun intended) 🙂 ~ like a man I would greatly respect and also enjoy hearing, ~ southern twang and all.

p.s. ~ Note; A “new song” in spiritual language means a NEW REVELATION, a NEW MESSAGE, a NEW EXPERIENCE ~ IN GOD! ~ The inworking of the music to our ears is when the message and the messenger so becoming one, ~ “The messenger has become the message.”

p.s.s. ~ Alice, once upon at Time I saw a picture of Tim, (I believe it was during Christmas time), and the picture was if memory recalls, a photo of him opening a box and playing with the box before the present. ~ Having never met him, I liked him from that very point in time. ~ WHY? ~ For except you become as a little child… That photo (in my minds eye) was a GREAT Photo, just as the ones you’ve chosen above. 🙂

What a lovely tribute to your number one man. I’m guessing that not least among the things that cause you to be “still smitten” is the fact that he is also a terrific husband – who treats you with the utmost respect and tenderness and who consistently puts your needs and happiness ahead of his own. I enjoyed reading the things you lifted up about him that you admire – and agree that Tim Spicer is one fine man.

Alice, have you followed my discussion with Kevin regarding the period between Jesus death and resurrection? What impact does the location and consciousness of Matthew 12: 40 have on your tendency toward soul sleep? Did you notice 1 Peter 3: 19 is impossible between His death and resurrection if soul sleep is real?
